Consumer Data Right: Consent and Operational Enhancements

On 11 September 2024, AFIA responded to the Consumer Data Right (CDR): Consent and Operational Enhancements Amendments consultation from Treasury.

 AFIA supported the operational enhancements aimed at simplifying the CDR framework, such as streamlining consumer consent processes and improving the management of nominated representatives, but cautioned against mandating shifts to online systems without accommodating existing paper-based processes, particularly for smaller entities with bespoke service models.
