Independent Review of the Principles of Reciprocity & Data Exchange (PRDE)

On 4 September 2024, AFIA provided feedback on the Independent Review of the Principles of Reciprocity & Data Exchange (PRDE) being undertaken on behalf of Australian Retail Credit Association (Arca).

 AFIA’s submission emphasised the importance of maintaining a fair, transparent, and efficient data-sharing framework. Key recommendations focused on improving operational efficiencies and ensuring the PRDE remains accessible and balanced for all credit providers, particularly smaller participants. AFIA also highlighted the need for ongoing collaboration to ensure the framework adapts to changes in the finance industry while continuing to protect consumer interests.
