Following the 2024 AFIA Conference at Pier One, Sydney Harbour, the Affie Awards made a triumphant return at AFIA’s annual gala dinner. It was great to celebrate and recognise these changemakers of our industry:

We also had the privilege of awarding the AFIA International Climate Change Scholarship to someone who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment and dedication to influencing sustainability outcomes across the industry and to their work in bringing change within their organisation, particularly the implementation of new climate change initiatives and their commitment to further expand their knowledge on sustainability. The scholarship went to:

Entering the awards is an opportunity to showcase achievements, amplify programs and initiatives, connect into a finance community and get recognised for making an impact.

You can enter your organisation in each of the three awards available.
You can enter as many individuals from your organisation as you wish in the Impactful Leadership Award or Hall of Fame Award.
You are able to self-nominate in the Leadership Award or nominate someone else.
Entries for the Hall of Fame cannot be self-nominated, entrants must be nominated by someone else.

This award is for an organisation that can demonstrate commitment to sustainable change through business practices, supply chain, employee engagement.

This award is for an organisation that has achieved positive outcomes through some form of disruptive innovation that has either created a competitive advantage, reshaped the industry or changed consumer outcomes or behaviour.

This award is for an individual who has demonstrated improved customer outcomes and/or people outcomes, which could include delivery of an app, website, call centre, marketing campaign, culture program, talent retention program or diversity and inclusion program.

This award is for an individual who has transformed or furthered the finance industry in some way through their outstanding personal contributions.
The AFIA International Climate Change Scholarship - Winner to be
announced at the Affies.
AFIA is providing an opportunity for members to nominate an individual for our International Climate Change Scholarship. The course is provided by the LSE and is five days in length, by a world class faculty in a central London location. It provides a comprehensive, fully integrative and multi-disciplinary understanding of the threats, challenges and opportunities of climate change. Course participants gain an understanding of the politics, governance and institutional challenges on a global level, and build skills to leverage climate models and science to trace the link between carbon emissions and economic growth and competitiveness.
The AFIA Scholarship will cover the cost of the LSE Climate Change: Economics and Governance course, as well as travel, accommodation and meal allowances.
The scholarship is suitable for senior executives and professionals who are looking for an insight into how climate change effects their business.
