13 April 2023 | 11.30am to 12.30pm | Webinar

On 22 November 2022, the Centre for Women’s Economic Safety (CWES) released the discussion paper: Designed to disrupt: reimagining banking products to improve financial safety, examining how financial institutions can make improvements to their products and services to help in reducing gender-based violence. The paper calls for financial products to better support financial safety.

To explore how the industry can demonstrate its obligation to consider customer vulnerability in product design and distribution by adopting Safety by Design principles into the design of its products, services, and technologies, AFIA is hosting a Redesigning financial products to improve financial safety webinar with the report’s author and former bank executive; Catherine Fitzpatrick and CWES Founder and CEO, Rebecca Glenn.

Tune in to this webinar to hear our expert speakers give their key recommendations on how financial institutions can minimise harm from the misuse of its products by perpetrators of domestic violence and improve the experience and outcomes for customers who disclose domestic and family violence.
