AFIA has made a submission to the Mobile Payment and Digital Wallet Financial Services Inquiry. The Inquiry’s will focus on the commercial relationships and business models between digital wallet providers and payment providers, implications on competition and consumer protections as well as the regulatory environment in which these services operate. AFIA’s submission makes several recommendations encouraging settings that facilitates competition and innovation in the payments ecosystem while ensuring adequate consumer protections.
