AFIA appreciates the opportunity to provide a submission to Treasury on the 2020-21 Federal Budget. AFIA believes that to achieve a fast, broad and sustainable economic recovery, including to promote growth and employment, the Government and the finance industry need to work together through a coherent and coordinated approach. In our submission to Treasury, we recommended the 2020-21 Federal Budget focus on:

• Initiatives and actions that stabilise the economy and support a business-led recovery.
• Non-fiscal government support to businesses to promote growth and employment.
• Partnership initiatives for government and business to rebuild and create a modern economy.
